No, as a private hire taxi firm, our cars have to be pre-booked with either a call, online or via the app.

Lost property will be kept securely at our head office at 55 Belgrave Road, Torquay for 30 days, after which time the items will be securely disposed of. This will also apply to items taken as surety for non-payment of fares.

Please note that we will not store perishable items such as food or drink, which will be disposed of upon arrival at our office.

Also note, that for our customer’s security, we will not store credit, debit or any type of payment card and these will be securely shredded on arrival at our office. To enquire about lost property items email mail@torbaytaxis.co.uk, or by using the form above, please include as much descriptive detail as possible about your item. We will also require the booking details of your journey, including the pick-up time, location, name on booking and telephone number.

Under no circumstances will the found property be released without verification of identity and a signature. Claimant(s) wishing to pick up lost property that has been dropped to the Torbay Taxis office, can only do so during office hours, Monday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm by prior appointment. Claimant(s) wishing for lost property item(s) to be returned to them directly, will be charged a fee (fare) based on the driver's current location to the Claimant(s) required drop-off point.

Yes. If the driver has not been dispatched and it has not been paid by a payment link, you will not be charged. If the driver has arrived at the pick-up location and has travelled to get there, there may be a cancellation charge to cover the driver's fuel and time spent. App payments are typically refunded within 48 hours depending on your bank.
All link payments are non-refundable if not cancelled within 3 hours of the allocated pick-up time or if the vehicle has been dispatched.

Yes, we strictly comply with GDPR. Your data is safe with us and will never be passed on to third parties.

We have anything from Executive to Saloon cars, Estate cars, six-seater vehicles and eight-seater minibuses. Please phone the office to check availability.

Our office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We accept cash, card payments, Apple Pay & Google Pay in all of our vehicles with the use of our secure payment terminals. 
Or you can choose to pre-pay via phone, app or online booking.

Torbay Taxis did a great job from start to finish. Adam who took my first booking was very helpful. The driver who took us to and from our destination was very good, polite and friendly. All staff that I delt with were very good.

During a stay at Paignton we decided to leave the car at the hotel and used this service that was recommended to us.The service is easy to book via their website and it gives you the price of your journey which is ideal. Most drivers I’ve had have been nice and friendly.I’ve had 4drivers I feel were excellent. First driver insisted on taking 3 heavy shopping bags down to my door.Next driver opened front passenger seat for me as he said was easier for me with walking stick.Last Monday driver at 11. 22 from Boots to Tamar helped me in and out of taxi.Then on Friday driver came to St Marychurch and again made sure I got in and out of taxi safely.

Brilliant! Just like Father Christmas! You ask for something and they bring it! I needed a taxi urgently as my uncle had dentist appointment, to have a painful tooth out 🥴, poor him! My car was in for MOT, my friend was helping me out and would take me home so I could collect Uncle’s car, confused? You will be!! Anyway friends’ car wouldn’t start, battery dead as a dodo. So called 211611, trouble hearing recorded message, as stood beside a busy road…. Justin rang me back to confirm details, he came to pick me up in two minutes!!Faultless, pleasant, good looking, local guy, and not too expensive!! Knew all local roads, no directions required!
